    NEET Home, Group, Private Tuition

There is a major change in medical entrance exam, all exam will be combine and it will be NEET. The first country-wide common entrance examination for 42,000 seats will be conducted by CBSE in 2013.

    About NEET :

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions to MBBS (NEET-UG) and Postgraduate Courses (NEET-PG) will be prepared by the National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT), The NEET will be the only entry route in nearly 42,000 MBBS seats in private and government medical colleges, adding that the mammoth examination would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The modalities for NEET-PG (MD/MS) for 20,600 seats are also being worked out. The admissions through NEET are applicable from the academic year commencing from 2013-14.

In every possibility, the prospered NEET is likely to be an extension of AIPMT. With NEET turning to be a single entrance for medical admissions, the number taking this examination is likely to go up as compared to those taking AIPMT. So a two stage examinations itself may be doubtful. But these are all speculations. Only an official announcement can clarify this aspect.

    Advantages of NEET:

    - No need to appear for numerous entrance tests. Students need to appear for a single centralized entrance test for admissions.
    - Since admissions will based on NEET scores, only meritorious students will be given more preference for admissions.
    - No mental or financial stress with NEET. Students need not prepare for 7-10 entrance tests in a row or spend excessively on the entrance fee.
    - Students have to focus only on a single exam pattern and its relevant syllabus, making it easy for them to follow a standard study pattern.
    - Students unable to clear NEET are given a maximum of 3 attempts.

    NEET Exam Pattern :

    • The exam pattern consists of Multiple Choice based Questions (MCQ)
    • No negative marking for wrong answers.
    • Scores will be calculated on percentile basis.
    • The minimum score for passing is 50 percentile whereas for SC/ST/OBC the minimum score is 40 percentile.
    • NEET will be held at ALL District Head Quarters of every state.
    • Medium of instruction for NEET examination is English and Hindi.

(JEET) Joint Entrance Examinations Test (JEET): The Common Engineering Entrance Examination:

The Human Resource Development Ministry, Government of India is all set to go ahead with its plan to conduct a common engineering entrance examination from 2013, but the first nation-wide test may only cover technical institutions funded by the Centre.

IIT-JEE and AIEEE — for long the gateways to India’s top engineering colleges including the IITs and NITs— is all set to be replaced by a brand new test to be called as JEET - Joint Entrance Examinations Test. As reported by The Indian Express on January 31, the new exam modeled on lines of the international test - ‘SAT’ comes into force starting 2013. The introduction of this test is expected to help do away with multiple entrance examinations and thereby reduce the stress levels of students.

    JEET Benefits

    • Borderline IIT students can directly get admission into next best colleges as they will not be required to sit for AIEEE. JEET will be conducted twice or more in a year and scores will be valid for 2 years. Students will get more chances to improve their score.
    • The coaching classes will be helping students to prepare directly for IIT level paper, board examination and aptitude test. Students will now give equal importance to board examinations along with JEET mains and advanced papers.
    • Engineering aspirants can focus on one examination and prepare accordingly. They will not be required to appear for various engineering entrance examinations conducted every year.
    • If the papers are going to be set by IITians, then the standard of the examination will be maintained.
    • Students can feel relaxed and study better. They will no longer be required to deal with pressures related to Time and Money including Examination fees and travel expenses.
    • Students can choose a choice of their Institution due to zero restriction and physical limitation.
    • Students won’t have to schedule and prepare for different exams separately. They can focus on a single one.

JEET Exam Date (Joint Entrance Examinations Test):

The JEET is going to be effective for admissions into the IITs and NITs for Admission year 2013 and therefore is expected to be conducted in either March or April 2013.

JEET Test Pattern (Joint Entrance Examinations Test): JEET will have two papers on the same day

    - Paper-Test Pattern of JEET Main – Areas Tested at JEET: Reading Comprehension & Critical - Thinking and Logical Reasoning
    - Weightage to JEET Main: 30% minimum

  • JEET Advance :

    - Paper-Test Pattern of JEET Main – Areas Tested at JEET: Problem Solving Ability in Basic Science Subjects
    - Weightage for JEET Advance: 30% minimum
    - The two tests JEET Main and JEET Advance together will indicate a candidate’s scholastic level and aptitude for science and engineering.
